  1. The Telangana government issued orders under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, designating a vital tiger corridor linking Kawal Tiger Reserve (Telangana) and Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (Maharashtra) as the Kumram Bheem Conservation Reserve.
  2. Maharashtra School Education Minister Dada Bhuse today announced that the state will introduce basic military training for students from Class 1.

  7. A foreign naval officer has reportedly gone missing in the backwaters of Kerala’s Kochi. The missing officer was in Kerala for training at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala. Police confirmed he accidentally fell into Ernakulam channel.
  8.  The Government of India has announced that Central Government employees who retired under the National Pension System (NPS) with at least 10 years of qualifying service on or before March 31, 2025, can now claim additional benefits under the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS). The deadline to apply for these enhanced benefits is 30 June 2025.
  9. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) withdrew its $434.25 million loan for a proposed 1000 MW Solar Power Park in Karbi Anglong, Assam. This decision followed objections from local communities, including the Karbi, Naga, Kachari, and Adivasi groups. They opposed the project due to concerns about land displacement affecting 24 villages.
