1. India Hosts First Global Media Dialogue WAVES 2025 and ₹254 crores of Deals Inked. The dialogue was organised by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting with support from the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

2. Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat inaugurated 14th open seminar on India at Bharat Mandapam in NewDelhi.

3. The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced three new initiatives to improve electoral roll accuracy, streamline voter information, and enhance the credibility of Booth Level Officers (BLOs).

4. The Delhi high court on Friday directed the Indian Consulate in Indonesia to take urgent steps to ensure proper legal representation and assistance for three Indian nationals sentenced to death by an Indonesian court.

6. WAVES 2025 is a four-day summit with tagline “Connecting Creators-Connecting Countries” . India is future of global hub for media, entertainment and digital innovation. Its main aim is bringing together to creators, startups, industry leaders and policymakers of across the world.

7. Renowned Malayalam actor Vishnu Prasad Passed away At the age of 52. He is well known for his compelling performances in negative roles. He was undergoing treatment for liver disease in Ernakulam.

8. The Indian Air Force (IAF) conducted a landmark flypast and landing exercise on a specially engineered 3.5-kilometer stretch of the Ganga Expressway in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur district. This event marked the inauguration of India’s first expressway airstrip designed to support both day and night operations of fighter aircraft, setting a new benchmark in civil-military infrastructure integration.

9. Swami Vivekananda cultural centre in Sri Lanka hosts curtain raiser for 11th International Day of Yoga. The event was held at Hindu Boys College in Colombo, where over 1000 students practised Yoga.

10. The High Commission of India in Bangladesh organised a curtain raiser event at Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre, Dhaka on Friday to mark 50 days to the International Day of Yoga, 2025. The theme of the 10th International Day of Yoga is: ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’.

11. Namibia has recorded 56,130 malaria cases and 95 deaths since December 2024 as per data of Health Ministry of Namibia.

12. US President Donald Trump has nominated Mike Waltz as the next US Ambassador to the United Nations. Waltz is a former soldier, congressman, and Trump’s current National Security Advisor who is expecting to bring his experience on his new role.

13. Kamla Persad-Bissessar has reclaimed the position of Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago. She comeback 2nd time after her tenure from 2010 to 2015.

14. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced that transgender females will no longer be able to take part in all levels of women’s and girl’s cricket across England and Wales with immediate effect.
