1. World Malaria Day celebrated on 25 April every year. Theme of this year is ” Malaria ends with us: Reinvest, Reimagine, Reignite”.

4. The Supreme Court recently ordered the Indian Army to pay a disability pension and arrears to a soldier who was released from service thirty-six years ago for suffering from seizures [Bijender Singh v Union of India & Ors].
5. A Bench of Justices Abhay S Oka and Ujjal Bhuyan ordered the army to grant the disability element of disability pension to Bijender Singh . The pension should at the rate of 50% with effect from January 1996 onwards for life.
6. Indian Air Force conducted Exercise ‘Aakraman,’ a series of military drills simulating attacks on both mountain and ground targets. The exercise showcased India’s advanced fighter jets, including the Rafale and Su-30MKI, and tested their capabilities in ground attack and electronic warfare.
