1. Karnataka launches LEAP 2025 to spur innovation and job creation.

The Karnataka government has rolled out the LEAP (Local Economy Accelerator Programme) with a corpus of ₹1,000 crore to promote innovation beyond Bengaluru and to create 5 lakh jobs across the state. The scheme will support startups, small enterprises, incubation hubs and local value chains. The government aims to decentralize growth and catalyze regional economic ecosystems across districts.

 

2. Startup Conclave 2025 kicks off in Gandhinagar.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Startup Conclave 2025 at the Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, organized by the Gujarat State Education Department. Over 1,000 startups, 5,000 innovators, 100 industry mentors, 50+ venture funds and key decision-makers are participating. The conclave seeks to foster networking, mentoring, and funding opportunities for emerging ventures.
