1. India Launches First Auction of Limestone Blocks in J&K. India is set to begin the first-ever auction of limestone mineral blocks in Jammu and Kashmir, led by Coal Minister G. Kishan Reddy. The move aims to boost mineral exploration, attract private investment, generate employment, and support infrastructure development in the Union Territory.

2. 350th Martyrdom Year of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Begins at Anandpur Sahib. A three-day observance marking the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji began at Sri Anandpur Sahib. Events include kirtan, community gatherings, exhibitions, and heritage displays honouring the Guru’s sacrifice for religious freedom.

3.BJP Legislators Seek Review of SMVDIME MBBS Admission List. A delegation of BJP MLAs met J&K Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha requesting review of the first admission list of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence after 42 of 50 selected MBBS students belonged to the Muslim community. They requested transparency and regional representation.

4. Centre Clarifies No Move to Table Chandigarh Bill in Winter Session. The Union Home Ministry declared that it does not plan to introduce the proposed Chandigarh Administration Bill in the Winter Session. It added that the Bill aims only to simplify law-making and will not alter long-standing administrative arrangements with Punjab and Haryana.

5. Indian Animated Feature Mahavatar Narsimha Enters Oscars Race. Ashwin Kumar’s film Mahavatar Narsimha has been listed among eligible entries for the 98th Academy Awards. 6. INS Mahe to be Commissioned as First Mahe-Class ASW Craft. The Indian Navy will commission INS Mahe, the first Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft of its class, at Naval Dockyard Mumbai. Built with 80% indigenous content, the craft boosts coastal security and supports the Navy’s Aatmanirbhar defence capabilities.

On the sidelines of an international summit, Prime Minister Modi met Japanese PM Sanae Takaichi, Dutch PM Dick Schoof, Jamaican PM Andrew Holness, and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. Discussions focused on trade, green energy, defence, and Indo-Pacific cooperation.

8. India Wins First Women’s Blind T20 World Cup. The Indian Women’s Blind Cricket Team created history by winning the first-ever Women’s T20 World Cup for the Blind in Colombo. India chased Nepal’s 114/5 comfortably, powered by Khula Sharir’s unbeaten 44 off 27 balls.

9. Khelo India University Games Begin in Rajasthan Today. The fifth Khelo India University Games begin across seven cities in Rajasthan—Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Kota, and Bharatpur.
