4) The Minority Affairs Ministry busted myths relating to the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2025, saying that no property will be revoked that is registered as waqf prior to the commencement of the Waqf Act, 1995, and under the Waqf Act, 1995. It said that once a property is declared waqf, it is meant to stay that way permanently. The bill only clarifies rules for better management and transparency.

5) Union Home Minister Amit Shah reiterates, the country will be free from Naxalism by the end of March next year; 86 Maoists surrender in Telangana.

9) Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited (CSPGCL) is advancing its energy capabilities with the establishment of the first supercritical thermal power project (SCTPP) in Korba district. This project is part of an expansion of the existing Hasdeo Thermal Power Station.

10) President Smt Droupadi Murmu on Saturday gave her assent to the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2025, which was passed by Parliament earlier this week after heated debates in both Houses.

11) Telangana government has unveiled plans to transform approximately 2,000 acres of land in Kancha Gachibowli into what is being touted as one of the world’s largest eco parks. This expansive project encompasses land currently occupied by the University of Hyderabad (UoH), proposing the relocation of the university to a newly envisioned “Future City” on Hyderabad’s outskirts.

12) The Waqf Amendment Bill 2025, introduced in the Lok Sabha, aims to amend the existing Waqf Act of 1995. The most contentious change involves the removal of Section 40. This has sparked debate between the ruling coalition and opposition parties.

13) Section 40 of the Waqf Act grants the Waqf Board the authority to determine whether a property is a Waqf property. This section empowers the Board to collect information and conduct inquiries regarding properties it suspects to be Waqf.

14) The Government e-Marketplace (GeM) has marked achievement by facilitating the hiring of over 1 million manpower resources in the fiscal year 2024-25. This digital procurement platform, launched by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

15) Tamil Nadu has achieved the highest real economic growth rate in India for the year 2024-25. The state grew at a rate of 9.69%, which is the best In the country and also the highest for Tamil Nadu in the past 10 years.

16) Haryana to Develop Film City in Two Phases at Pinjore and Gurugram. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said while addressing the closing ceremony of a two-day film festival held at Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak.

17) The Indian Navy Offshore Patrol Vessel (NOPV) INS Sunayna will set sail from Karwar as Indian Ocean Ship (IOS) SAGAR (Security & Growth for All in the Region). The ship Is carrying 44 naval personnel from nine Friendly Foreign Nations (FFNs) and this is flagged off by the Hon’ble Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh from Karwar.

18) This mission will mark a significant step in reinforcing India’s commitment to regional maritime security and international cooperation. INS Sunayna during its deployment will visit Dar-es-Salaam, Nacala, Port Louis and Port Victoria.

22) Myanmar authorities have confirmed to Bangladesh that out of a list of 800,000 Rohingyas sheltered in Bangladesh, they have identified 180,000 Rohingyas eligible for return to Myanmar. The original list was provided by Bangladesh in six batches during 2018-20.
