1. Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024 to come up for consideration and passing in Lok Sabha today.
2. Parliament has passed the Tribhuvan Sahkari University Bill, 2025 with Approval of Rajya Sabha . Lok Sabha has already passed the bill. The Bill seeks to establish the Institute of Rural Management Anand, as a University to be known as the Tribhuvan Sahkari University and to declare it as an institution of national importance.
3. The Rajya Sabha has passed the Protection of Interests in Aircraft Objects Bill, 2025. The bill seeks to give legal effect to the convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment.
4. Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan inaugurated the 62nd National Maritime Day and the Merchant Navy Week at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai.

KANCHA GACHIBOWLI LAND AUCTION : A Massive protest rocks University of Hyderabad campus: University of Hyderabad (UoH) students on Tuesday launched a massive protest on the university campus against the State government’s decision to clear the forested land in Kancha Gachibowli and auction it for revenue resources.

9. The Indian Air Force (IAF) is actively participating in Exercise INIOCHOS-25, a biennial multinational air exercise hosted by the Hellenic Air Force in Greece from March 31 to April 11, 2025. This exercise aims to strengthen international cooperation among air forces and simulates modern air warfare challenges.
10. Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth flagged off the NIMAS Mount Kanchenjunga Expedition 2025, the mission will begin on April 7.
11. Defence exports have surged to a record high of over 23,600 crore rupees in the Financial Year (FY) 2024-25, registering a growth of 12.04% . The Ministry, in a statement today, said that Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs) have shown a significant increase of 42.85 percent, with 8,389 crore rupees in exports.
12. The fourth edition of EXERCISE TIGER TRIUMPH, the bilateral Tri-Service India-US Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief exercise has begun today at VISAKHAPATNAM. This exercise is aimed at developing interoperability and formulation of Standard Operating Procedures for conducting Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations between the two countries.
13. On April 1st, INS Gharial departed Visakhapatnam for Yangon, Myanmar, carrying 440 tonnes of relief material, including rice, edible oil, and medicines, as part of India’s “Operation Brahma” to support earthquake-stricken Myanmar.

Hockey India and the Bihar State Sports Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard at the Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna. The tournament will take place from the 29th of August to the 7th of September.
