1. C. P. Radhakrishnan Elected as Vice President. Chandrapuram Ponnusamy Radhakrishnan who is former Maharashtra Governor, became India’s 15th Vice President. He secured 452 first-preference votes, while his opponent B. Sudershan Reddy received 300. The result came from a secret ballot among federal lawmakers. His win reflects the NDA’s strong parliamentary support.
2. EV Testing Facility Inaugurates in New Delhi. Union Minister Prahlad Joshi inaugurated India’s new state-of-the-art Electric Vehicle Testing Facility today in New Delhi. This facility equips manufacturers with affordable testing services. It will reduce import dependence for EV validation and promote domestic innovation.
3. PM Announces Flood Relief Funds. Prime Minister Modi reviewed flood-affected areas in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. He announced ₹1,600 crore aid for Punjab and ₹1,500 crore for Himachal Pradesh. These funds aim to accelerate relief and rehabilitation efforts across both states.

7. Anokhi Duniya: Ceramic Waste Park in UP. Uttar Pradesh is set to launch “Anokhi Duniya,” the world’s first ceramic waste park, by the end of September 2025. Spread over two acres in Khurja, it features over 100 ceramic waste artworks created by six artists and 120 artisans. The park, costing ₹5.86 crore under a PPP model, includes gaming zones, cafes, and green spaces. It blends sustainability, tourism, and local heritage.
8. Operation Rahat’s Defence Assistance. Under “Operation Rahat,” the Indian Army’s Western Command conducted 82 humanitarian and disaster relief missions across Punjab, Himachal, and Jammu & Kashmir. It evacuated over 6,000 people and provided medical aid to more than 13,000 citizens. The operation highlighted the Army’s critical HADR capability in times of need.
9. INS Surat Conducts PASSEX with Italian Navy. INS Surat conducted a Passing Exercise (PASSEX) with the Italian Navy’s Andrea Doria-class destroyer ITS Caio Duilio.
