- C. P. Radhakrishnan Elected as Vice President. Chandrapuram Ponnusamy Radhakrishnan who is former Maharashtra Governor, became India’s 15th Vice President. He secured 452 first-preference votes, while his opponent B. Sudershan Reddy received 300. The result came from a secret ballot among federal lawmakers. His win reflects the NDA’s strong parliamentary support.
- EV Testing Facility Inaugurates in New Delhi. Union Minister Prahlad Joshi inaugurated India’s new state-of-the-art Electric Vehicle Testing Facility today in New Delhi. This facility equips manufacturers with affordable testing services. It will reduce import dependence for EV validation and promote domestic innovation.
- PM Announces Flood Relief Funds. Prime Minister Modi reviewed flood-affected areas in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. He announced ₹1,600 crore aid for Punjab and ₹1,500 crore for Himachal Pradesh. These funds aim to accelerate relief and rehabilitation efforts across both states.
