1. President Presents National Teachers’ Awards. President Droupadi Murmu presented the National Teachers’ Awards 2025 to 81 outstanding educators at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The Ministry of Education selected awardees through a transparent, three-stage online process spanning 27 states, 7 UTs, and 6 organizations.

2. Indigenous Water-Soluble Fertilizer Tech. India developed its first indigenous water-soluble fertilizer technology after seven years of research. Led by Rajib Chakraborty (SFIA President), this ‘Make in India’ milestone, backed by the Ministry of Mines, aims to shift India from import dependence to becoming an export hub for specialty fertilizers. Commercial rollout is expected within two years.

3. Rare Anti-Doping Reference Material Developed. India created rare reference material for enhanced anti-doping testing in sports. This will strengthen the scientific architecture of anti-doping measures—significant for GS Paper 3 and sports governance topics.

4. SEMICON India 2025 Concludes Successfully. SEMICON India 2025 concluded, spotlighting India’s advancing role in the global semiconductor ecosystem and reinforcing its “Aatmanirbhar Chips” vision under the Design Linked Incentive (DLI) Scheme.

5. EAM Inaugurates SAMHiTA Conference. External Affairs Minister inaugurated the SAMHiTA Conference on South Asian Manuscripts and Mathematics—an important cultural-diplomatic initiative.

6. Cabinet’s ₹1,500-Crore Scheme for Critical Minerals. The Union Cabinet approved a ₹1,500 crore incentive scheme to recycle critical minerals, under the National Critical Mineral Mission (NCMM). The six-year scheme (FY 2025-26 to 2030-31) allocates one-third of funds to startups and small recyclers.

7. Unique Disability ID (UDID) Coverage. Tamil Nadu, Meghalaya, Odisha, and Karnataka crossed 50% coverage in UDID issuance—a notable development for inclusive governance under social welfare policy.

8. Silver Hallmarking Goes Voluntary with HUID. From 1 September, India adopted a voluntary silver hallmarking system based on BIS standard IS 2112:2025. It features a unique Hallmarking Unique Identification (HUID) code, improving traceability and consumer confidence.

9. PM Skips UNGA Debate — EAM to Represent. Prime Minister Modi decided not to speak at this month’s United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) General Debate. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will represent India instead.

10. PM Misses BRICS Virtual Summit. Modi also opted out of the upcoming BRICS virtual summit hosted by Brazil’s President Lula, focusing on tackling Trump-era tariffs. S. Jaishankar will attend on India’s behalf, and a joint statement may follow.
