- Parliament Passes Online Gaming Regulation Bill. Parliament passed the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025 to safeguard youth and vulnerable groups. A Central Online Gaming Authority will monitor, license, and penalize violators. The bill aims to ensure digital safety, consumer protection, and responsible gaming in India.
- The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has onboarded Starlink Satellite Communications Pvt Ltd. Starlink will use Aadhaar-based authentication for customer verification in India. This enables secure, fast, and paperless Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance. The move promotes Digital India by ensuring transparent internet access and user verification. UIDAI is the statutory authority that manages Aadhaar under the Ministry of Electronics and IT .
- India Post Unveils IT 2.0 to Modernise Postal Services India Post launched the IT 2.0 system under the Advanced Postal Technology (APT) initiative. It enables OTP-based delivery, QR-code UPI payments, and introduces DigiPIN for precise deliveries. The system uses cloud and micro-services architecture for real-time tracking and seamless operations. India rolled it out across over 1.6 lakh post offices by August 2025.
