  1. Mission Sudarshan Chakra: India’s Indigenous Defence Shield by 2035.Prime Minister Modi unveiled Mission Sudarshan Chakra on August 15, 2025. The mission builds India’s own Iron Dome–style defence system. It uses multi-layered sensors, command centres, and interceptor batteries. The system will cover strategic, civilian, and religious sites nationwide. India plans to fully deploy this shield by 2035 using homegrown technology.
