  1. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Friday announced that Skyroot Aerospace has successfully carried out the first static test of its powerful KALAM 1200 solid rocket motor, the first stage of the Vikram-1 launch vehicle, at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC), Sriharikota.
  2. Indian Railways introduces a 20% rebate on return journey base fare for round trip bookings during the 2025 festive season. Bookings open August 14.
  3. The Government of India has reported significant progress in its maternal and child nutrition initiatives. As of July 2025, more than 72.22 lakh pregnant women are registered beneficiaries under Mission Poshan 2.0, while the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) has provided maternity benefits to over 4.05 crore women since its launch on 1 January 2017.

  7.  Bengaluru is set to have a new cricket stadium. The stadium will be located in Surya City, Bommasandra. It will accommodate 80,000 people. This makes it India’s second-largest cricket stadium. The decision follows a stampede at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The new sports complex will feature multiple sports arenas.
