- On 26th Kargil Vijay Diwas, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi announced the formation of two new combat formations: ‘Rudra’ all‑arms brigades and ‘Bhairav’ Light Commando Battalions which will be as part of a major modernisation push at Dras, Kargil. Rudra brigades integrate infantry, armour, artillery, special forces, drones, and tailored logistics into one fighting unit. Bhairav units are elite, rapid‑response commandos for border operations.
- Seventeen Members of Parliament received the Sansad Ratna Awards 2025 in New Delhi for their exemplary parliamentary performance. The Prime Point Foundation (a civil society NGO inspired by former President A.P.J.
