- Industrialist Nitin Kohli joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday in the presence of senior party leader Manish Sisodia in Punjab’s Jalandhar district. Nitin Kohli is the Founder of Tracer India.
- The Government of India has initiated a comprehensive evaluation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSSs) and Central Sector Schemes (CSs). This exercise aims to assess the effectiveness and relevance of these schemes over the next five years, starting from April 2026.
- AYUSH Minister Prataprao Jadhav launched the Ayush Suraksha Portal to Address Issues of Misleading Advertisements and Adverse Drug Reaction. This portal will strengthen consumer protection and regulatory oversight in the field of traditional medicine.
- The Supreme Court directed that the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2025, which is scheduled for June 15 should be conducted in a single shift rather than two shifts.

- Lieutenant Commander Yashasvi Solanki has become the first woman officer from the Indian Navy to be posted as Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to the President of India. The President is typically assigned five ADCs – three from the Army, one each from the Navy and the Air Force. The role of an ADC involves facilitating coordination and communication between the President and various arms of the establishment which ensures seamless staff work and official protocol.
- The 17th edition of the India-Mongolia Joint Military Exercise dubbed Nomadic Elephant, is set to be held in Ulaanbaatar of Mongolia. This military collaboration will be held from 31st May to 13th June 2025. It is an annual event alternating between India and Mongolia.
- India’s defence sector is projected to undergo a transformative expansion by 2047 is driven by a nearly fivefold increase in its defence budget. It aims to rising from approximately ₹6.8 lakh crore in 2024–25 to ₹31.7 lakh crore by 2047. According to a joint report by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and KPMG.
