1. Tribal Pride Day Observed in India.On 14 November, the nation prepared to observe Janjatiya Gaurav Divas on 15 November, commemorating the birth anniversary of tribal freedom-fighter Birsa Munda (1874-1900). The Ministry of Tribal Affairs noted that under the “Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh” marking 150 years of his birth, the fortnight 1-15 November is being celebrated across India.The Ministry is establishing 11 tribal freedom-fighters’ museums across ten states to highlight tribal heritage and struggles, and promoting digital initiatives like Adi Vaani for tribal languages.

2. NDA Secures Landslide Victory in Bihar. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won a resounding mandate in the Bihar Assembly elections, bagging 202 of 243 seats and reinforcing its dominance in the state. This victory reinforces the political strength of Nitish Kumar’s leadership in the Janata Dal (United) and the electoral appeal of Narendra Modi-led national coalition.

3. PM’s Gujarat Visit to Mark Tribal Celebration & Launch Major Projects. The Prime Minister will visit Gujar­a­t’s Dediapada in Narmada district on the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas to inaugurate and lay the foundation for development projects worth over ₹9,700 crore, aimed at tribal empowerment and infrastructure upliftment.

4. IITF-2025 Opens with “Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat” Theme. The 44th India International Trade Fair began at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Union Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, Jitin Prasada, inaugurated the event, which carries the theme “Ek Bharat – Shreshtha Bharat” to emphasise national integration through trade and innovation.

5. ITS Completes 60 Years of Service to India’s Telecom Sector. The Indian Telecommunications Service (ITS) celebrated its Diamond Jubilee in New Delhi. Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan lauded the service’s journey “from the telegraph to the digital age”. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia highlighted ITS officers as “quiet engineers of India’s transformation” in the digital era.

6. India Rises to 6th Largest Patent Filer, Jumps in Innovation Ranking. Addressing a tech-fest in New Delhi, Science & Technology Minister Jitendra Singh stated that India has filed over 64,000 patents, emerging as the world’s 6th largest patent-filing country, with resident innovators accounting for more than 55 % of filings. He also noted that India climbed from rank 81 to 38 in the Global Innovation Index, reflecting strengthened innovation capacity.

7. CSIR-ISRO to Co-host Space Meet 2025 on 17 Nov in Bengaluru. The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will jointly organise the CSIR–ISRO Space Meet 2025 on 17 November at Hotel Radisson Blu Atria, Bengaluru. The event aims to deepen cooperation in human space flight research and boost synergy between India’s scientific and space agencies.

8. Finance Minister Visits Nagaland: ITI, SAMARTH Portal & Bank Outreach Launch. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visited Nagaland, where she inaugurated new Industrial Training Institute (ITI) centres, launched the SAMARTH portal for skill development and rolled out bank-outreach programmes to expand financial inclusion in tribal and remote areas.

9. MoD Signs ₹2,095 Crore Deal for INVAR Anti-Tank Guided Missiles. The Ministry of Defence signed a major procurement deal worth ₹2,095 crore with Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) for INVAR Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGMs). These missiles will significantly enhance the combat-capability of T‑90 main battle tanks and boost India’s deterrence and operational edge on evolving battle-fronts.

10. Indigenous Defence Innovation Gets Global Recognition. Indian defence-innovation firm Flying Wedge Defence and Aerospace (FWDA) won the silver medal at the 23rd ARCA International Exhibition of Innovation 2025 held in Zagreb, Croatia. The recognition emphasises the growing strength of India’s home-grown aerospace and defence start-up ecosystem.

11. International Gita Mahotsav Holds Forum in Beirut. Over 200 participants took part in the International Gita Mahotsav 2025 organised by the Indian Embassy in Beirut at the Lebanese National Theatre. The event underscored India’s cultural diplomacy and engagement with global audiences, promoting the ethos of the Bhagavad Gita abroad.

12. IAF Contingent Arrives in France for Exercise Garuda-2025. A contingent of the Indian Air Force arrived at Mont-de-Marsan Air Base, France to participate in the bilateral air exercise Garuda‑2025 scheduled from 16-27 November. The exercise underlines India’s growing strategic and defence cooperation with the France.

13. IMF Evaluates Sri Lanka’s 2026 Budget with Growth Target in Focus. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is reviewing Sri Lanka’s newly announced 2026 budget, particularly its ambitious 7 % growth target, to assess alignment with its ongoing bailout programme and conditionality. The review will influence Sri Lanka’s financial rehabilitation roadmap.
